Are you interested in learning to be a race official?

DBACT needs race officials to run regattas, so all clubs can race! This course will provide practical knowledge based on shared experiences. It will provide an understanding of all official roles and responsibilities.

Participants will receive a manual, certificate, officials log book and national accreditation.

NOTE: It is preferred participants have volunteered at a regatta but not necessary.

As part of your accreditation, and depending on your level, you will be required to officiate at a minimum of one regatta in the 2024-25 Season.

Pre-requisites
Your participation is endorsed by your Club (that is, your club is okay with you doing the course, at no cost to you or your club).

Race Officials are required to complete the following Play by the Rules learning modules: https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-courses

Level 1 - Introduction to Integrity in Sport and Walking the Talk 

Level 2 - Ethics and ethical decision making in Sport 

Level 3 - Harassment and Discrimination and Complaint Handling 

In addition, you must also complete the following Sport Integrity Australia online modules - https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php

  • National Integrity Framework 
  • Competition Manipulation and Sports Betting 
  • Child Safe Guarding in Sport Introduction

Please bring a copy of completed certificates with you to the training course.
