Welcome to Dragon Boat ACT

Dragon Boat ACT (DBACT) is the governing body for dragon boating in the ACT.

Dragon boating is a fun and accessible sport for people 10 years and older and all fitness levels. If you're a team player and enjoy being on the water, this is the sport for you.

DBACT are located at Grevillea Park on Lake Burley Griffin (near the Boathouse Restaurant) in our brand new purpose built facility.

There are a variety of clubs across the ACT that cater for competitive and non-competitive members. All clubs ensure their members enjoy the fun and social aspects of the sport.

Dragon Boating is about immersing yourself into a culture of community, commitment and determination!

With 20 paddlers to a boat, it’s not the fittest or strongest team that succeeds on the water - it’s the team that works as a single force.

The sport was introduced to Canberra in 1990 by a few individuals keen on developing the sport and culture of dragon boats. Since its introduction to the community, dragon boating has become a successful sport in Canberra, enjoyed by all ages!

DBACT welcomes community teams to participate in team building events. More information can be found on the Team Building page.
